Children Camps this summer

The school are about to close for summer vacation within a week and we are in the process of planning to organize summer Bible camps for children in the rural and tribal regions of Inida. Last year God has given us the privelege of organizing as many as 7 camps at different places in the rural and tribal regions. Around 700 kids were blessed because of these camps. Most of them are heathen who do not know about Jesus. But our volunteers have worked hard and with a zeal have reached these remote places to share the love of Christ to these under priveleged children. They have travelled by foot, on zeeps, on small boats and in every possible way to reach these places.

In every village the children camp would be for 2 or 3 days, where we speak with the village elders and ask their permission to hold the children camp in the school building if the village has one or in an open field where there is shade of the trees. The camp goes on from morning 9am to 1pm where our volunteers teach the children motion songs, stories from the bible, Character lessons. For the children it would be different experience as they learn to do the motions and dance in the presence of the Lord. They enjoy the three days. After 1pm we send them back to their homes for lunch and ask them to come back in the evenings as we play games with them. Every day in the morning we give them a drink which they enjoy. They enjoy playing aswell. After it gets dark we have a prayer in the local church. In the afternoon we use our time to preach the Gospel in the village.

With the limited resources we are doing what we can do for the Lord. As the camp comes to a close we gift a small gift to the children which they love and are very thankful for the gift. God is allowing us to share the love of Christ with the heathen people through these camps. God is allowing us to train up the young children, the seed is planted in their life and we pray that the seed would give the fruit in the due course.
